Friends & Supporters of hope805.org,
I’ve just concluded a ten-week tour serving families in five cities including Tennessee, Virginia, Oregon, Washington & of course California. There was an epic reunion with dear YWAM colleagues in Franklin Tennessee as well as an unplanned live video recording with the Katina Brothers in Nashville. That video was a reflection on how I met the Katinas in September of 2023 & their heartwarming concert to renew the hope of the Lahina fire victims at Harvest Kumulani Chapel in Lahina, Maui. Coming up soon, I have been asked to participate in commemorating the 23rd anniversary of 9/11 at the Rock Church in San Diego, where I serve as a Rock Community Chaplain as well as on the Chaplain Corps for the Office of Emergency Services. Last year in Lahina, I spent that first week with a team of trauma surgeons, doctors & nurses bringing hope to many of the Filipino hotel workers who were traumatized by unthinkable losses & setbacks from the August Lahina fire. My plans are to serve with that same medical team in the Philippines this September & October. Then my hope is to return to Maui for another extended stay of service in the 4th quarter of 2024, caring for the Lahina fire survivors & victims, many of whom I have remained in contact with this past year. |
While on this last deployment, I teamed up with two new organizations I will be serving going forward: 1) As a Disaster Relief Chaplain with Hope Force, & 2) As a First Responder Chaplain with Chaplaincy Solutions.
Hope Force:
“Natural disasters are widespread and getting worse. Around the world over 60 million people a year are affected by disasters and crisis. We respond to disasters at home and abroad with skill and compassion. We are there in the immediate aftermath of disasters and also serve and respond in areas with long-term, chronic needs. All Disaster Relief Chaplains are 100% volunteers.” Chaplaincy Solutions: "The goal of Chaplaincy Solutions is to assist in building up Public Safety Chaplaincy programs and servicing other opportunities that arise out of our service to the local communities. Currently our Public Safety Chaplains are serving close to forty agencies in five counties. |
The Community Chaplaincy is a 100% volunteer program, it is an outreach to the community that begins as a request from Public Safety call outs to the local communities served by our first responder agencies. Public Safety Chaplaincy serves Law Enforcement, Fire, Dispatch, Search and Rescue, and EMS by providing trained credentialed ordained Chaplains. Community Chaplains are also available to assist in disasters where shelters or evacuations are in progress.”
My deepest gratitude to those of you who have made my deployments & ability to respond a possibility year after year. Your friendship & financial support changes lives & encourages me each day to continue serving. I have had a record year of request’s to respond & deploy in the first seven months of 2024. Sadly I was not able to respond to 70% of those calls do to lack of funds for my transportation & related costs.

Would you consider going to hope805.org to read the stories & testimonies from both victims & supporters? You can find those under the “BLOG” tab & under the “ENDORSEMENTS” tab. Would you also prayerfully consider joining my support team? When I receive a request to deploy, it involves my immediate response. I have 24 hours to book my flights & make other logistical & financial arrangements. The 12 to 15 organizations I serve rely 100% on volunteers like myself; there is no other way to provide disaster relief on such a massive scale. If I am not deployed across the United States or in another country, I am serving every day in the counties mentioned on the “MISSION” & “MY STORY” tabs at hope805.org.
If you are able to join me on these missions financially, ZELLE is the quickest, most efficient & secure way to send financial support immediately bank-to bank. If you need a 501 c3 nonprofit deduction you can go to MEI at my “GIVING” tab on my hope805.org website. |
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted & saves those who are crushed in spirit.
