I am especially pleased to welcome my good friend Rob Dirkse, founder of Serve Partnerships Unlimited. He has been with IAM for 15 years, in fact he was our first Para Church Member.


Welcome Rob, you are our first member of today’s IAM. Over the years you have helped us grow in many, many ways.

I love IAM and am pleased to be a part of what God is doing through it and many other ministries.


As always, I am blessed when people give their testimony. Our witness to our relationship with Christ is incredibly important. Tell us how you came to Christ?:


I was raised in the church, but responded to The Gospel through Mrs. Smith at a "Good News Club in 1968 at the age of 5. I wanted God to be the dad I didn't have in my life.  My church and family, though well-meaning, were not healthy so I learned that I had to "be good" to please God, which of course I couldn't and is why Christ died for me. 

As I matured I realized that I was trapped in performance and God allowed some painful situations in my life that opened my eyes to Freedom from my human efforts to please God. My heart was already after him, I just needed to Surrender and Trust Him with all I am.  He has continued to reveal more and more of what this looks like as I have grown in relationship with Him and I am so motivated to share this Freedom with everyone in my spheres of Influence! 

How would you describe your current relationship with Christ?


Most recently, I have enjoyed a Season of Freedom and Fruitfulness that I never knew possible. I am seeing God's Hand move in ways and degrees that I have never experienced before. My relationship with God is on the most Intimate place it has ever been. I prayed for "eyes that SEE and ears that HEAR" and it has happened in amazing ways... again, I can't help but share that with others!

That is awesome brother, I never tire of a testimony of how someone met and continues to follow Jesus. Now tell us about SPU. What is your purpose and mission?

We Connect, Equip and Mobilize Christian Partnerships that serve, as One Body, the on-going Physical and Spiritual needs of the community"
God has designed me and called to to be a "Kingdom Connector," and he gave me two Scriptures to form that foundation: John 13:35 and John 17:20-23. Both speak of our relationship as Christ-Followers being as close as Jesus and The Father and our Love for one another being so distinctive that people recognize that we Follow Jesus.

Our current Partnerships include, Adopt a mom for Mother’s Day, (often for single moms), Adopt a family for Christmas, (Primarily for low income families), Serving charter schools by providing service opportunities as well as building Biblical Principles into youth and children through Service & Leadership Camps. Leading Sacramento Men's Encounter: Helping men know and grow in relationship with God and providing tools to continue growth as a Disciple, and Honoring, supporting and coaching Non-profit Leaders in the Sacramento Region.


Wow, Rob, you are serving God in many ways. You also were the inspiration behind our change from starting new churches throughout the country as New Church Ministries to helping new Para Churches ministries get started and grow through IAM. Thank you for your vision and service over the years.
