"Phoebe, we are pleased to welcome you as a Community Partner in the IAM mission to serve our communities. You are a licensed and trained Independent Agent representing many major companies with a Medicare contract. Is that correct?”
“Yes.”
“I know when I needed advice as to what to do about Medicare and how to go about it, you were there for me and have been for about nine years. As I understand it, You focus on preparing people for starting their Medicare and shopping for a better more affordable plan if they have one already. Am I on target there as well?”
“Yes, There are many plans available. Part of what I do is help you find a health plan that best suits your personal healthcare needs and budget.”
“Is there a cost for this?”
“No, this is my service to you. By educating you on all the options available, you have the power to compare and the freedom to choose the best program for you, and by the way, we will revisit your plan periodically to take advantage of changes in the market.”
“How long have you been providing these kinds of services?”
“I’ve been in this market for over 10 years, but in the financial services business for over 25 years, so I am very comfortable with the opportunities and programs available to our IAM Family.”
“You are a Christian, this we know, tell us how and when you decided to follow Christ.....”
“As a single parent, I was struggling financially to support my four young children. Coping with difficult times raising four children with no set income was very hard. Every night I cried and asked God why this was happening to me. One night, I was crying so hard and found myself on my knees bawling uncontrollably. I asked God, “When will my struggles end?” “ Then one day, a friend invited me to her church. The singing before the sermon was very moving. The sermon was very heartwarming. I really enjoyed the service and attended the following Sunday. The next thing you know, I was there every Sunday. I even volunteered in the nursery and church office from time to time. I also brought my kids along with me and they became involved.
Going forward, with my new relationship with Christ, each day I saw my life improving. I saw myself doing many things I thought could never happen. God gave me the power to endure a difficult time in my life and I am forever grateful! I learned how to step back and look at difficult situations and say, “This is just temporary and this too shall pass”. This goes to prove the old adage, “You get what you pay for, but in my case, “You get what you pray for.”
“Thank you for your time. We are pleased you are partnering with IAM and want to thank you for joining the movement. We are in this together. God bless you.”
